Merry Christmas, 2020
This has certainly not been one of our best years...as, I know, all of you are also experiencing.
January ~ brought a lot of snow as shown from our back deck. Tony began working on an outside elevator to get him and groceries up from this level to the upper deck. This consumed most of the year in his workshop, but am happy to say it works great now. As most all of you know, Tony is brilliant in his shop. He practiced for this COVID pandemic for 20 plus years and with his "shop" being his outlet.
Because we chose not to travel south this year, February was spent at grandson Cody's basketball games watching Cody play and Dennis coach.
In March, our senior center closed as well as most everything in town. I had spent a couple of months making new table decorations for the center meals. They are now stored until we are able to open up again. I made phone calls to nearly every senior, and then sent emails to everyone about how each were doing during the beginning of the pandemic.
Every week on Thursday, we go to our local Winco grocery store with another couple, Win & Sue, and pick up donations for the senior center (mostly pastries). After delivering the goods to the 1912 Center, we spend a couple of hours over coffee for lively conversation. Of course, we saw the run on toilet paper during our early morning pickups.
