Our winter travels are finished. We just discovered this year that the Spokane Airport has more than one baggage claim ~ they never used to have more than one baggage claim.  We watched five plane loads of passengers come down to the baggage claim and wondered what happened to our UK visitors ~ then we got a phone call and discovered they were all the way at the other end of the airport.  After picking up Tony's cousin John,

Tony's brother Terry and Jacqueline from UK arrived in Spokane on June 22.  We picked them up in the car at the airport and drove to where we had parked the motor home ~ Northern Quest Casino.  The next morning Terry was missing....he found his way inside the casino ~ drinking free coffee and gambling at 5 am!!  Must have been the jet lag!!! We are now on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land in California. Another month has passed and we are still enjoying the sunny climate. This morning it was 70 degrees F before 8:00 a.m. We have great telephone service and internet service here. The television satellite dome on top of the motorhome works very well. We can ride bikes back and forth on the desert floor for exercising (sadly needed).

2-17-06 Went to see copper mines (no longer in operation) on Wednesday far off the main road in the desert.
